Friday greetings, Mes Amies,

Had a fantastic time yesterday in the wonderland that is just above us about 7,000 feet and 45 min. away.  Here are a couple of pics:

Granddaughters posing before the route we took down to the King's River at Cedar Grove. In far distance beyond the mtn. where the lake is nestled.

We actually found a waterfall that hasn't dried up yet.  Pretty good water flow for almost August after a very dry winter!  It is at Grizzly Falls, coming down from  Grizzly Lake at 11,000 ft.   The girls had so much fun picking gold out of the stream bed and we got to show some tourists from Holland how to be prospectors.  They  spoke mostly in their own language but they could say "Look! It's gold!" loud and clear in English!

Also met some hardy bikers from Belgium at the Grant Grove.  They flew into Phoenix, AZ, last week -- temp 114 deg. --- rented two Honda GWs, and were traipsing all over the Western US for 30 days.  I could not have survived riding a motorcycle in114 deg. so our hats were off to them!

FROM THE INTERNET:

Max caught  a good mess of NectrHeadZ on river close to Bridgeport. Sold 36 bottles of Nectr in Bridgeport and maybe a new Rep , at least a preferred customer.  Spreading the word across the country. Linda (Montgomery)

What??  Me work?  This IS my work!

Mike's brother Frank left URGENT message yesterday while we were out of cell phone range:  he has an attorney friend who needs Nectr fast --- and he's lost Warren's phone number.  Help!

Mike called him  back and let him know that he has a website that the attorney can order Nectr from.  "I have a website?  Really?"

So, a bit of training went on after we got home. Which is kind of a challenge when you're trying to high-tech an old TX wildcatter.  But, who needs high-tech when you can just tell people what the Core is doing for you and they want to get some.  We'll figger out the rest!

COUNTDOWN ON DOUBLE FAST START:  $200 for enrolling one QE ENDS in two days.   48 hours.  Midnight Sunday Texas time.   Now's the time to follow-up with some folks you talked to  a while back.

Stats show that the #1 reason people fail to achieve their goals --- whether it is in sales, marketing, network marketing, or business of any kind -- is from FAILURE TO FOLLOW-UP!

Even with people looking for JOBS.   Read what this HR person says:

A peculiar thing happened to me last week. Something that caught me off guard and made me wonder if the majority of us truly understand the value that people place on following up.

I attended a career fair on behalf of my employer to collect resumes and meet prospective job candidates who were seeking employment. At the end of the day I had in-depth conversations with about 35 potential candidates.

Following the conversations, every single one of the candidates firmly shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said they were very interested in working for my company. Nearly a week later, I have received follow up messages from exactly two of the candidates via email. Two.
I don’t want you to think that I don’t know the drill. Between my detailed conversations with these candidates and the days that followed they may have:
  1. Decided that they weren’t interested in working for my company
  2. Immediately received multiple job interviews to fill their schedule
  3. Decided that after reviewing the potential employers of interest at the fair, their current job was satisfactory for now
But I have to think that due to the spirited conversations that I had with each of the candidates, a dozen of which came back to my booth to ask additional questions after our initial conversations, I would have at the very least received 10 – 15 follow up messages. Nope. I got two.
In case you haven’t checked lately, the current job market is still dismal. It’s slowly recovering but at last check, employers still receive approximately 50 – 100 resumes on average for each open position. Furthermore, most recruiters spend less than 10 seconds reviewing cover letters and although estimates vary, less than 20 seconds reviewing resumes.
If you want to stand out, be noticed and get attention, you simply must take the time to follow through after initial contact with an employer at a job fair even if it’s a quick note to say. “Hey thanks for the conversation, but I am pursuing other options at this time.”

A quick follow-up email, text or call is always in order to build a relationship with your team.  We always consider someone as part of our team until they tell us they don't want to be part of it.   That way they are included from the get-go of our meeting them.

An easy way is to make a little Newsletter from You that shares TBT things from the week or month in a conversational, fun way.  Send it out to your 'team' so they know what's going on.   If you need some advice on how to do this email me.  I'd love to help.

I leave you today with this awesome song from Lee Durley and his group.  The focus of Terra-bio Tech on children around the globe makes this song appropriate for our biz.

Thanks to Lee and Pami for sharing!

NectrHugs to you and yours,
Barb
